DON'T GIVE UP

In the face of difficult times, we can be encouraged. The Word tells us, "No unbelief or distrust made him waiver...but he grew strong and was empowered by faith..." Romans 4:20,21. As believers we can overcome the same challenges and release our faith just as Abraham did. It's not always easy, but it is possible with God. Don't give up! Believe for your breakthrough.

It is in the storms of life that it is most vital to cling to God's Word and His Spirit for strength and direction. Trusting in God during this journey is a necessity. If you haven't seen a miracle, you ride the storm, and one thing is for sure, God will be with you along the way.

I have come to realize in my own life that there are times when God can be more interested in taking me 'through' the storm, rather than 'snatching' me out. So often we go through hard times and plead with God to take us out of the fire, when there is still something to be learned. I have found it to be more peaceful when I stop trying to hurry God's hand. You can still believe for victory during the storm, and at the same time relax, knowing that God is in control.

Though this time may be the most challenging yet, don't give up. Be determined to believe God for victory. Isaiah 43:2 tells us, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you...when you walk through the fire you will not be burned or scorched..." No matter the depths of the water or the heat of the fire, know that God is with you. He sees it all, and He has a plan. That plan is for you and it is good. ( Jeremiah 29:11)

Be mindful that trust plays a vital role during the trials of life. We have to trust God to get us on the other side. We have to be confident in Him and not within ourselves, acknowledging Him, knowing that He will direct our paths. (Proverbs 3:5,6) And remember, you can trust that He is a Father who is able to keep His promises. ( Romans 4:20,21)

As you go through times that are tough, call on the Lord for strength to endure, for you can do "all things through Christ." (Phil 4:13) Especially on the toughest day, dig deep into God's Word, refusing doubt and unbelief. Be empowered by faith, believing that God is bringing you up and out of the battle you are in. Don't give up! Be encouaged, God is with you, and victory is only a promise away.
